Ted's comments about the music are really making me wonder just how big the rock he was living under back then was. I mean... seriously. I listened to country and even I heard a lot of these songs at the time.

I was born in the last week of 1980 so I was a tiny child through most of the decade and I remembered at least 90% of the English-language songs that have been used as RDs. My parents listened always listened to Top 40 radio in the car so maybe that's why

Yeah. I was born in 1973 so I definitely lived through the '80s as a tween/teen and while I listened to country, pop music and Top 40 radio was impossible to avoid - school dances, friends who were obsessed with Rick Springfield and then Michael Jackson, aerobics class for gym, etc, lol.

The ISU site lists the Maria Olszewska Memorial as holding a Junior Dance event, but if that's true no one who qualified for Jr Worlds would participate because it starts next week.

I watched dance unspoiled, and I'm not sure it was the best idea -- it took forever while I was eating breakfast/getting ready for work/settling into the work day, and I was nervous for Grimmskiy the entire time. But I expect I'll do it again tomorrow morning! Very happy with the top two and with a lot of the placements, though I think I'd have had the baby French higher than the Swiss team. But it's super close, so no big deal. Lovely to see the baby Brits and baby French looking happy and confident here.

And Ted, for the love of heaven, IT IS NOT THAT HARD TO SAY "ATL."
