Very nice skate. A bit conservative, and reductive but really at this point Exogensis has been done so many times that it's hard for skaters to bring something new to the music, and that's just at this event.

I thought they did a nice job with the Prince music. The opening choreo spin move was really neat with using her top picks to pivot around, and the entry into the stationary lift with her in the arabesque drag position.

An exciting young team. A couple of issues today, but hopefully lots to look forward to with this team in the future. Azusa's wrist is very heavily wrapped.

Good ice coverage on their elements, but the transitions seemed a bit simple. Nice skate, but Phantoms been so many times before it's hard not to seen repetitive with it.

The opening lift is lovely, and she hits the musical highlights her movement, and extension. Love the choreo lift at the end. This was a much better skate for Hannah &Ye after a bit of disappointing rhythm dance.

Holly had a slight stumble between the Dance Spin, and the Curve Lift combination. This team looks much better now than they did last fall. Not sure if there was an injury issue, or something, but a big improvement from when we saw them on the Grand Prix.

Such a wonderfully creative team, and they put their full talents on display in this program. Every element has it's own little spin on it so it looks like something you've not seen before. Certainly this was their best performance of the season.

Better than the rhythm dance, but still a few moments – Caroline on the twizzle in the diagonal step sequence, and the transition out of the choreo dance lift – that were just a bit off.

Disney version of ice dance care of Igor Shpilband. They are certainly performing it, but it's missing the mark all season for me.

I stayed on for the victory ceremony, wanting to see G/P on top of the podium. I didn't need to see Buchanan (according to Chris) hugging Sorensen, but not the other males on the podium. Now I feel a tad nauseous.
Yeah. Like I'm not going to be on Skate Canada or the IAM coaches thinking that they should just dump fbs because I imaging it's a pretty complicated situation for them. But seeing the referee hugging Sorensen for a long time and no one else was...strange to say the least.

The power of @Rukia has been too focused on Anthony. Time to light some candles for Christina. Better to do them now then to wait to long as Worlds approaches. Apparently the end of the program was so unwatchable that the cameraperson showed us a shot of the crowd reaction – the shock on people's faces - before returning to the skaters. I guess we'll never know what happened in those moments.

I watched unspoiled this morning, and said out loud, "Christina, not you!" at the twizzle. That was close, but they hung on. All hail the power of @Rukia. :respec: Anthony and Scott were cute dancing in the K&C (presumably trying to cheer her up?).

Corpse Bride third in the free! Who'd'a thunk?

I felt for Caroline and Michael, but they seemed in pretty good spirits on the couch, and I'm glad for that.

Well done, Piper and Paul. And I will never mock a transparent skirt again. :D Well, at least not in ice dance.

All caught up and I actually enjoyed the first two groups. Even though technically not great it was nice to see new to me programs.

Green/Parsons skated better than Nationals, so some redemption. It will be fascinating to see what’s next for them. This was the first time I liked Z/K Beauty and the Beast. I enjoyed them and Lim/Quan the most today. Christina and Anthony definitely need some rest, thankfully plenty of time for Worlds.

I FF through FB/S, I tried to watch the RD and he just grosses me out now. Annoyed I also had to skip the medal ceremony. If they are at Worlds in Boston I will be walking out during their skate.

I still think Charlene/Marco should win Worlds but I doubt it happens. I will be fine with Piper/Paul but it will probably be Chock/Bates again.

Just watched the medal ceremony and realized 5 out of 6 are Canadian citizens. (Can we give Anthony honorary citizenship so he’s not left out?)

2 are American (soon to be 3).

1 Dane.

Ice dance is truly an international affair. :cheer2:

I'm not even close on either card.
He didn't talk much during the performance, which limited the possibility of certain phrases. And he kept saying brilliant instead of magnificent, UGH!

eta: Worrying for C/P politically speaking given what happened in the fd

They had the 15th ranked twizzles 🤷‍♀️ I'm not that concerned tbh, but they don't have wiggle room to not skate clean (as others do lol)
They were a little off their game this week, which is understandable given how fabulously they skated last week at Nationals. They are part of a pack of 5 Worlds-bound teams whose RD scores are bunched within 2 points of each other (LopBri, TurkVer, DavSmo, CarPon, Taschlers) and I'm convinced that it is going to come down to who skates best in Montreal. None of these teams have the wiggle room to not skate clean - the three that come out on top will make the penultimate group for the FD (presuming the top 7 are ChoBat, GilPoir, GuiFab, FearGib, LajLag, FBSoer & ReedAmbru).

Eh... ReedAmbru got their honorary Euro medal. The judges should rightfully dump them behind LopBri, CarPon and the Taschlers where they belong. I wasn't remotely impressed with DavSmo at Euros, sloppy and awkward transitions in and out of their elements. (Not to mention the spawn of Eteri deserves no favors). So I pray they really aren't a top ten threat.
