Keeping Track of Criminal Cases & SafeSport Suspensions in Skating

That was my initial reaction too, but I did some digging and found that it is not the case and Skate Canada could probably attempt something if they really wanted to. OSIC's Guidelines Regarding Provisional Measures state that while sports organizations' role is to oversee the implementation...

2021/2022 Canadian Pairs: News and Updates

@angi I don't know where you are from, so guidelines may differ, but in Québec and Ontario you are not required to show a negative test to "re-enter" society after your isolation period (10 days from the time you show symptoms). They would not be eligible for a publicly funded PCR test to show...

Canadian Championships to return to Ottawa - Jan. 6-13, 2022

Rumours in media is that capacity will be reduced at 1,000 people or 50%, whichever number is lower. We should know by 4 p.m., but nothing says they won't change the rules again next week. I have tickets for this event, I really would like to go, but for the life of me I don't understand why...

Canadian Championships to return to Ottawa - Jan. 6-13, 2022

I am planning on bringing food and drinks and on leaving them in my sister's car. I did that at another event to save money and eat ealthier 🤣 But that only works if you have a car to begin with, so clearly not an option for all. For those who don't know the city, there is a Whole Foods 2...

I understand it as applying to the event, but they did not provide much more details during the press conference today. Perhaps the details will be online tomorrow.

Canadian Championships to return to Ottawa - Jan. 6-13, 2022

I lost the little patience I had and I left two voicemails and sent an email ;) The person I talked to was nice and they did offer free parking for the event. Yesterday they said they would call me back this morning, and they actually did exactly when they said they would. I will say this good...

Canadian Championships to return to Ottawa - Jan. 6-13, 2022

Just posting an update in case anybody is in the same position as me re: buying tickets on the South side. TD Place is unable to exchange tickets to a similar seat on the North side (different pricing) because the tickets are Skate Canada's and not theirs. I find this pretty annoying since...

Canadian Championships to return to Ottawa - Jan. 6-13, 2022

I was coming here to tell you just that (entire south side blocked). I am waiting for them to call me back, but my strategy will be to ask for equivalent tickets on the other side. And by equivalent, I mean seat-wise, not price-wise. It's not my problem that they made a mistake and were not...

Canadian Championships to return to Ottawa - Jan. 6-13, 2022

I bought tickets this morning and wondered about the same thing... Where were the judges in 2017? I would be mad if they had to move people because I choose my seats based on the fact that they were in a place with less traffic hoping it would be best for C****.
